A safe guide for: Fisting, Scat and Golden Shower

03.06.21

BDSM play always comes with a risk element, from the risk of injury or infection to emotional distress. When engaging in a BDSM play such as scat, fisting or golden shower there are some measures to take, to minimize those risks.

Rules of conduct during SCAT PLAY

Scat play is a sexual activity that involves playing with feces to provoke sexual arousal. For people with scat fetish, the sight, the scent and even the feel of feces on their skin is arousing and leads to sexual pleasure. Scat play consists in smearing feces on the body, defecating in front of another person or on someone’s body, watching someone defecate and in extreme cases eating feces.

We don’t advise you to consume feces, because excrements contain many bacteria and viruses, and bacteria may be transmitted through wounds, even small ones, and abrasions of the skin. Also, when doing scat play make sure that the excrements do not contain visible traces of blood and does not come into contact with any kind of injury or abrasion you may have on your body.

Keep in mind that being in contact with feces you face a higher risk of parasitic, bacterial, and even viral infections. So, pay extra attention during scat play, not to have fecal contact with your mouth, eyes, or nose, or with an open wound, sore or cut. Wash your hands after touching feces and be extra careful not to touch other parts of your body.

The most common bacteria you can get out of fecal matters are E. coli and salmonella, while parasites such as giardia and amoebas are also present. When it comes to virus transmission, we are talking about Hepatitis A and E that can be transmitted through contact with fecal matter of an infected person.

Safety first when doing GOLDEN SHOWERS

When it comes to golden shower services, it’s best not to swallow the urine, because although in theory urine is usually sterile, it can also contain pathogens. For example, if a person has an STI, then blood may be present in urine, so the STI can be transferred to the person drinking that urine.

Before urine play, or golden shower, make sure you are very well hydrated, so the urine can be diluted and also pay attention to your health and you partner’s as well.  If the person urinating has a bacterial infection, and his urine comes in contact with the partner’s open wound, mucous membranes or skin fissure, then there’s a higher risk of causing an infection.

Make sure you clean up after urine play, before starting any other kind of sexual games or intercourse.

Hygiene rules during FISTING

If fisting is something you are into, or you are eager to try, then there are a few things you need to consider when it comes to hygiene:

  • Make sure that your nails are short and have no sharp edges
  • Wear disposable gloves, and always wear new gloves for each partner and also apply fresh lube every time you change the gloves
  • Ask your client to wash the anal area before starting the fisting play
  • Stop the play if you see any kind of bleeding from the anus area.

If you won’t wear a glove during fisting play, then you have a higher risk of getting an STI. This happens when you fist your client and you have a small wound, a torn skin next to the fingernails, or abrasion on the hand you’re using for fisting.

Always throw away the glove after you’ve exited your partner’s anus and use a new one with fresh lube if you want to do it again. When you’re done with fisting throw the glove and wash your hands with warm water and soap, and only then you can continue with other erotic activities.

Keep our safe guide in mind and be extra careful when it comes to hygiene and safety measures, during BDSM play.
