Suzy Favor Hamilton, born August 8^th 1968 in the US, is best known as the three-time Olympic runner with a secret past. Hamilton revealed in 2012 that she had been working for the past year as an escort with a rate of $600 per hour.

In late 2011, Hamilton, age 44 at the time, began working for a Las Vegas escort agency, Haley Heston’s Private Collection, under the name “Kelly Lundy”. Apparently information about her sexual activities leaked after she had revealed her true identity to some of her clients.

Hamilton competed for the United States in the Olympics of 1992, 1996 and 2000, but did not win any medals. The runner, however, is best known for her track at the Sydney Olympics, which started off as the best time in the world entering the race, but ended in Hamilton collapsing in the homestretch and finishing last.

She told the press that she lost on purpose, saying that she wanted the gold badly, but realising that it wasn’t worth it. “I thought that was the only way to true happiness in my life. It was unbelievable how I let my brain get out of perspective”, Hamilton admitted.

However, despite never winning, Suzy Favor Hamilton is still known as one of America’s best middle-distance runners, which also lead to several endorsements, including one for Nike. She was also constantly invited as a guest speaker at conferences and meetings. Apart from these, Hamilton ran a successful real estate brokerage with her husband.

Suzy Favor Hamilton’s story demonstrates just how stereotypical certain concepts about escorting are. While most people support the notion that women enter this business out of financial difficulties or similar distress, it appears that many choose this life as a way to demonstrate just how powerful and in control they are. Hamilton is clearly such an example.
