Escorts Now Accepting Bitcoins

13.02.14

In 2009, the Bitcoin was introduced as a form of digital currency. Using cryptography to create and transfer money, it quickly became an interesting phenomenon to speculators due to its obvious volatility. The commercial use of bitcoins however is still quite limited. Although digital, bitcoins can be stolen. On the other hand, chargebacks are impossible, so when it comes to services, bitcoins could easily become the currency of the future.

The escort industry has not lost sight of this new phenomenon. Always up to date with the latest tools in marketing, more and more escorts have begun to accept bitcoins as their preferred form of compensation. As a peer-to-peer payment system, this cryptocurrency is quick, easy, and involves no third party to make the transfer.

In September 2013, Passion VIP, an escort agency located in Birmingham, England, announced it would be accepting bitcoins as payment, marking itself as the first agency to do so. Although certain individual escorts have been accepting the cryptocurrency as a valid form of payment beforehand, Passion VIP has begun to pave the way to change on a larger scale.

The plus to bitcoins comes in for both clients and providers in terms of privacy as the transactions are not visible on credit cards and it cannot be proven that any money was actually exchanged for sex or other services. Nowadays, there are even sex shops, such as Calladora.com, that accept bitcoins as effective currency.

What’s your opinion on escorts adopting bitcoins? Do you find the privacy of the transfer attractive? Feel free to leave us a comment with your thoughts.
