Do Your Customer Background Checks Thoroughly

08.08.14

Whether you’re a newcomer in the industry or a well-established escort, doing thorough background checks on any new clients is extremely important for your financial, physical and mental safety. However, many times it’s not the easiest thing to do and it takes a while to develop a systematic routine.

In order to help you with your check-ups, the escortdirectory team has compiled a list of important information that you should consider gathering about your clients.

Firstly, you want to know that you’ll be safe with your customer. You don’t want to interact with anyone with a violent streak or past convictions for any form of violent behaviour. Even if they’re calm around you and treat you well, it’s better to be safe than sorry. The wise choice is to avoid these customers on the long term.

Secondly, just like it’s important for a client to know that the escort he is booking is actually the person appearing in the photos, it’s also crucial for you to check for the same. Make sure your client is who he claims to be. Check the facts out by looking each client up on public social networks. You can even ask, upright, for links to these accounts. If the customer is honest about who he is, he won’t have any problems in proving his true identity. Of course, certain clients might want to keep personal details from you not in order to rob or hurt you, but in order to keep his identity and privacy safe. You should explain, however, that you require this information in order to continue with the encounter and that it is part of the procedure.

Thirdly, doing your research means being prepared for your escort encounter. Any kind of detail from your customer’s career, family life, education, income, hobbies or interests can offer you essential information on what your client might be looking for or might enjoy. At the very least, these pieces of info can be great conversation starters and can really get a meeting going.

So, where should you start?

1. The quickest and easiest checks you can do are on Google, Facebook and Linkedin. Because most people use their real and full names on these sites, they’re the safest bets with it comes to social networks. If your customer has a common name you could find yourself with a million profiles. It’s important that you gather at least a couple of details from that person apart from his name – such as where he lives or where he works (at least). Your searches will probably yield better results with extra information.

2. From Facebook and Google+, it’s easy to head out to other connected profiles belonging to your clients. If they have an Instagram for example, you can use The Beat to check that their photos were indeed taken where they suggest they were.

 3. What do you do, however, when your customer’s Facebook profile is hidden or completely private? Well, one solution would be to use Openbook. What Openbook does is give you a list of all the posts where the person’s name is mentioned. Using this type of search, you can easily access their photos, tags and check-ins, provided there are any to list.

Try these techniques out and see what works best and fastest for you. Be open with your clients and request more detailed information if your searches prove difficult. These protocols are necessary and extremely important in this business, so make sure you do your customer background checks thoroughly
